Independent of PBX
2Ring Call Accounting is independent from the PBX. It supports collecting CDRs via FTP, as well as RADIUS to provide call logging and call accounting for clients with Cisco® Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Voice Gateways, Avaya® IP Office, and many other commonly used PBX’s.
Learns About Your Network
Setup and follow standardized naming conventions when modifying existing devices or adding new ones to your infrastructure. If you do that, there will be no need to modify the configuration of 2Ring Call Accounting when you add a new voice gateway or trunk; changes will be picked up automatically.
Imports Mobile Phone Usage
Nowadays, a unified view of a company’s telecommunication costs is not possible without covering employees’ mobile phones. Therefore, besides supporting data from most types of PBX’s, 2Ring Call Accounting includes support for the automatic import of detailed telco bills from cell phone providers. Managers and employees not only see costs related to desk phones, but also cell phone spending and usage.
Department Hierarchy
Support for unlimited depth of corporate hierarchy ensures that managers see information about the calls of subordinates, while subordinates cannot see the calls of their managers. Moreover, access to individual sets of reports can be granted to all employees.
Ready for the Global World
2Ring Call Accounting collects Call Detail Records (CDR) and information from many sources (PBX’s, analog exchanges, data files generated by telco providers) to provide full, complete, and detailed call expense reports. With such data, the application is able to join calls which are routed through several PBX’s, to evaluate the call price precisely. Combine Call Detail Records from multiple systems together and display the call as one record within reports, while still providing the call’s detailed routing history.
2Ring Call Accounting also supports the use of multiple currencies and multiple regions, each with their own calendars (holidays, time zones, etc.). Overall, this means that a call that starts in Spain and then is routed through 3 CUCM clusters and ultimately leaves the customer’s VoIP environment to the PSTN in Japan, is listed as one call with correct caller, calling number information, cost center and price. This makes it possible to deploy 2Ring CA to the environments with large telephony networks (including IP and older analog PBX’s), and correctly evaluate call costs.
2Ring CA allows simultaneous operation in different languages so every user may set his or her own language preference (English, German, French, Slovak, Czech).
Flexible Reports
2Ring Call Accounting comes with a default set of more than 30 reports. Every report can be further adjusted by time, price list used, type of call (incoming, outgoing, external), cost center, call category, and many other variables. Reports can be scheduled for automatic receipt as an e-mail each day, week, or month. The data can be visualized in line, pie or bar charts to easily see historic progress and or expense distribution amongst cost centers. And of course, export to PDF or MS Excel spreadsheets are included.
Purely Web Based
Administrators will fall in love with 2Ring Call Accounting not only because it is tied to other corporate systems (and thus eliminates the need for reinputting user or extension data to 2Ring Call Accounting manually), but also because 2Ring Call Accounting is a fully web-based solution that supports virtualization (Cisco® UCS, VMware, MS HyperV, etc.). No need to install (or support) any additional software on employees’ PCs.
Links Data from Company’s IS / LDAP
Call Detail Records (CDR data) usually store some but not all information. External data about users and cost centers (such as the name of the called or calling party, accounting / project codes, etc.) are read from your information system (Active Directory, LDAP, or any other IS – such as SAP®, MS Dynamics CRM, ..) and then displayed in the out of the box reports right next to the CDR data. This means that users do not have to look up additional information in other systems since all the necessary information is already part of the report being viewed.
VoIP Network Tuning
A special report allows administrators to analyze VoIP network load to help them make decisions on enhancing or downgrading network infrastructure where needed. This helps to identify the peaks as well as the average and minimum number of calls in a selected time frame. You can learn more about this report in a blog post here.
Extension Budgets
Block outgoing calls from a CUCM extension once a predefined spending limit or budget is reached. Several actions can be performed when the amount approaches the budget / limit, e.g. send a notification email to the user at 80%, then lock the phone at 100% and send an additional email, etc. Phones are unlocked automatically at the beginning of the next period. Read more about budget control here.
